Romford F.C. vs Chatham F.C.

Romford F.C. 1 - 0 Chatham F.C.
The Ryman Football League - North Divison
Attendance - 94

Romford won their second game in a row last night and moved up to 7th in the league. The Essex club hosted Chatham Town who sat just below them in the table.

The first half started lively with both teams having great opportunities to take the lead with in the first ten minutes. The first chance fell to Chatham’s Brad Potter who rose above the crowd but headed over from the incoming corner. The second fell to Romford after Nick Reynolds flicked the ball past the back four to Elliot Long who saw his shot go past the post and wide of the goal. Romford dominated the rest of the first half and Reynolds, Clayton and Isa all had chance to put them in front.

Chatham created the first chance of the second half when Gary Tilley pounced on Rodricue Ndiane's long throw, but like Romford’s Elliot Long could only see his shot go wide. From the resulting goal kick Romford took the lead, Nick Reynolds flicked the ball on to Isa who turned and fired the ball past the Chatham keeper.

Isa and Richardson both had chances to double Romford’s lead but both found Chatham kepper Tom Roberts in top form. Romford are at home again this weekend and will be up against Soham Town Rangers.
