Port Vale vs Dagenham and Redbridge

Port Vale vs Dagenham and Redbridge
League 2
Attendance - 4355

The Daggers carried on their bit of form that they gave gained over the last couple of games with a 1-1 draw away at Port Vale. A draw was probably a fair result from a game which didn’t contain much quality from either side.

The first half didn’t involve much play around either goal mouth with both teams failing to create many chances. Port Vale piled on the pressure towards the end of the half but were unable to break the deadlock.

The home team started the second half the way they ended the first half and the pressure built up on the team from Essex with the Vale creating a number of half chances.

On 75 minutes, and against the run of play, Dagenham took lead thanks to a huge mistake from the Vale Keeper. Chris Neal let a 25 yard strike from Luke Howell slip through his hands and over the line. It didn’t take long for the home side to get back into the game and only two minutes later they found the equaliser through Myrie-Williams who slammed the ball home at the back post. Both teams pushed forward for the win but were unable to create a clear cut chance and the match finished a goal apiece.
